    windows 2000 log on password

I recently changed settings in control panel for my log on password and user name for windows 2000. Now when I try and log on with what I thought is new user name and password I get an error message invalid user name - password. I tried old username-password and get same error message. I am virtually unable to log on to my computer at this point. I would appreciate any helpful suggestions how to resolve this dilemma.

    Thanks

I'm assuming this is a personal computer and not one that logs into a LAN?

Try logging on as Administrator for the user name and blank for the password.

Did you double-check that Caps-lock was off? How about on?
I once had this complicated password that I wrote down exactly, and then it turned out that caps-lock was on when I first created it.
