Transfer a Variable from One form to another? (Access 2002)

What's the best method to transfer a variable from one form to another?

I need to be able to set the value of a field on form "A" as a variable, and be able to grab that variable and insert it on form "B." Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Rich

If both forms are open at the time then you can simply address the other form's control by:
    Forms![OtherForm]!Controlname
