    Word 2000 Crash (2000 / Sr1a)

I have a file that has started to have serious problems. Currently it crashes each time I add a text box and try to enter text. The file is only 400k large, with some tables in it, and it is MS09.dll that keeps having the error. I have removed and reloaded word (without doing any kind of thorough registry cleaning) and it is no help.

Previously, when i had a few Word drawing tool figures in the file, every now and then it would repaginate, and then crash at page ~37,000+. I removed the figures and was going to just insert them before I print, but it is a nuisance. Any ideas what might be causing the prob? Any idea how to really remove Word and reload it if necessary?

    Cheerio

Check the threads here on corrupted documents, particularly regarding the endless repagination. Typically it is something wrong with the document itself, rather than Word, and you need to do something to rebuild the document structure, either by Saving As RTF (or some other format) and then re-Saving As a .doc, or more drastic measures. Some embedded objects might be lost if they cannot be saved in another .doc. Good luck.

Copying and pasting into a new doc as seems to have done the trick.

    Thanks!
