    validation rule (Access)

    I have made 2 tables, table1 has employee code and name, table 2 has employee code, job# and hours. I want it so that on table 2 when you enter employee code that it will not except anything unless it is in table 1.

    Set Referential Integrity to true on the relationship between the two tables.

    You want a drop down list in table 2, so the field for employee code is going to be a look-up field. Recreate the field, and for the field tiype choose look up wiizard.
