    Large Function

    Hi
I am trying to use the large function in access 2000 but it doesnt seem to work - I want to be able to find the 2nd largest value of a field like you can in excel - in the help files it mentions the large function but wont allow me to use it. Does access support this function or is there another way of doing this

    Thanks

    Andy

Make a query with the field you want the (2nd) largest of sorted in descending order. Set options to display only unique rows and limit to the top 2 values. The second value you get in a recordset is the 2nd largest value in that field.

    Re: Large Function

According to help, it requires a reference to the Microsoft Office Web Components library, but figuring out how to make it work is harder than finding another solution.
