Can anyone explain why we have the same CLSID for Access 2000 and XP, but a different one for 97 <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15>
On my PC with all three versions, I was trying to script something involving CreateObject("Access.Application.10") but I was still getting an Access 9 object <img src=/S/exclamation.gif border=0 alt=exclamation width=15 height=15>
Finally sorted out what was going on by tracking back through the Registry, all three of Access.Application, Access.Application.10 and Access.Application.9 were pointing at the GUID {73A4C9C1-D68D-11D0-98BF-00A0C90DC8D9} which had a LocalServer32 (Default) entry pointing at Program FilesOffice2000OfficeMSAccess.exe and a weird REG_MULTI_SZ. I changed the default to my Access 10, but no change. Deleted the REG_MULTI_SZ and I now get a version 10 object
What's the REG_MULTI_SZ for <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15> and I suppose more importantly, do I need to have it <img src=/S/question.gif border=0 alt=question width=15 height=15>
I'm definitely pass my level of knowledge here so please <img src=/S/help.gif border=0 alt=help width=23 height=15>
