How to move to the first record of a subform? (2002)

I have a form with a subform, when I delete a record in the subform, I would like to move to the first record of the subform. I need that as I use a field of the subform to built a filter in order to open a new form, if I let the focus on the last line I get a null.
My first idea was to use a recordset using the recordsetclone property. Unfortunately I am not able to set up this property using a subform.
The second idea was to use the tabledef object but that didn't work as the table is open for the subform.
So How can I move to this first record?

Requery the subform after the deletion. That will always move back to the first record as the default behavior.
