I assume you don't want that to happen?

    Try these:
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...B;EN-US;q281679
    http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/ans...#blank_windows
    http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article04-107

If none of those help, we will need a little more information such as your email client and OS.

THANKS!!! The second link you sent enabled me to find the problem. A while back I tried Netscape (just cuz), and it left part of itself behind. I found it by checking the instructions on the second link that you sent. Again, thanks.

I still get a "done but with errors on page" when I use ie to log onto just ONE site, and it is one of my own sites that I build and maintain myself. The site doesn't do it if I'll go through msn or some other way. ??????

    Again, thanks.

    >> I still get a "done but with errors on page"...

That sounds a bit like there is an error (or two) on your page, then!
    Tools > Internet options > Advanced >
Disable the 'Disable Script Debugging' option and Enable the 'Display a notification about every script error' option - that may yield some clues.
