    Section Breaks (word97/sr2)

    Does anyone know of a way (in VBA code) to find only one type of the four section breaks?

    The Word97SR2 menu for Insert, Break allows six choices:
    1. Page
    2. Column
    3. Section (Next page)
    4. Section (Continuous)
    5. Section (Even Page)
    6. Section (Odd Page)

    All seem to be character code ASC(012) except the column break which is ASC(014).

    The last four all can be found by using ^b in the Edit Find dialogue box.

    Does anyone know of a way (in VBA code) to find only one type of the four section breaks?

    Did you try the PageSetup.SectionStart property which returns wdSectionContinuous, wdSectionEvenPage, wdSectionNewColumn, wdSectionNewPage, or wdSectionOddPage?

    John, thank you. This does the trick. I ran a small test SUB last night and will be writing the new code (to split WordPerf documents) Wednesday when Tuesday's job is finished.
