Cluttered Tools Menu (2000)

Every time I highlight an address and go to the Tools menu to print out an envelope, the computer does the job, but the words "mail merge" appear on the Tools menu. So if I have addressed 10 envelopes today, the words "mail merge" appear 10 times on the Tools menu! I know how to remove them but I have no idea why this is happening and what I can do about it. Can any one help? Thanks.

I think this has come up in the Lounge before, and might be related to a misbehaved add-in. What add-ins are you running? (You usually can tell from the Templates and Add-ins dialog, but in some cases you also much check the COM Add-ins dialog.)
