    *.exe shut down

I have two different pieces of software that apparently run everywhere except on my main adminstrative system. The setup is a basic LAN via an unmanaged switch, and the programs are very simple things [an exterior door estimator and a hardware catalog]. Both of them give the same error:
    Program Error
<program name>.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

Now the error logs only seem to mention an RSVP error, and yet the other Win2k systems in the network have no problems whatsoever. I can't think of some tweak I did to change the one system, especially not to create this kind of trouble. Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance
