Store Text Document in SQL Server 2K
I have a VB program that FTP's a file using ASCII mode to a drive. After the file is processed the application then archives it to another directory. I wanted to build a more efficient means of archiving this data. Each file is about 40 KB. I would like to create a database on our SQL Server that would manage this, rather than to keep copying them into a network directory.
I created an Microsoft Access Project connected to our SQL Server. In creating this table, I figured I would include the archive date/time then the file itself. If what I am attempting to do is even possible, I need to know what data type to use for the file, then how to persist the file to the SQL Server database using ADO.
