Multiple EOF markers in a file

I am struggling with this for a couple of weeks now.

I have a sequential file (ASCII) I have to process.
I use the normal construction of Open, read lines and process until EOF and Close the file.
Normally that will work for a file.

But this file has multiple EOF-markers, so processing stops when the first EOF marker is reached. If you open the file again the pointer is at the first line of the file again.

Is there a way to recognize the EOF marker, move the line pointer after the EOF marker and continue processing?

You will need to open the file in Binary mode, and process it as a binary file.
