Normal doc template message after crashing (XP)

When Word crashes, I get this message upon re-starting:
Word automatically saved changes to the normal document template. Do you want to load it?

Why is this happening? What should my response be?

    Thank you.

There are many ways that changes can be made to Normal.dot during a Word session. These include: adding AutoText entries, adding keyboard shortcuts, adding macros, and changing various settings, including styles and paragraph formatting (if you check the Default checkbox). Add-ins that load with Word occasionally make changes that Word would save in the Normal template if you allow to.

Unfortunately, there just is no way to tell exactly what changes were made but not yet saved. Assuming you have good virus protection, it's probably okay, but there's just no way to really know.

Yeesh...I never made/make any of those changes.
I do run good virus protection always updated. It sounds like I can go either way...accept the changes or not (since I didn't really make any to begin with!).

    Thank you for your reply!
