    Clearing the clipboard (excel 97 sr2)

    Is it possible to clear the clipboard using vb code in excel?
    Specifically I'm trying to avoid the "You have left a lot of data in the clipboard, do you wish to remove it?" message which is preventing me from automating a process.

    TIA

    Interactively, the Esc key will clear the clipboard in Excel. In VBA, you can set

    Application.CutCopyMode = False

    Cheers Hans, I thought that was the case, but it was there in the code and I was still getting the message :-(

    Then I spotted a rogue copy...

    Grrr I hate editing code that's been hacked, hashed and rewritten by everyone and their dog ;-)
