    Custom Fonts? (Excel 2000, SR1)

I am trying to figure out where Excel gets its fonts from. Am installing a new computer for a User who has custom fonts built into his Excel 97 that he needs for his new machine. These fonts are not true type fonts that he added in - somehow - he doesn't remember. They are not listed in the Windows Fonts Folder and are line pitch fonts. These fonts are not listed in any other Windows program, just Excel. Any ideas?

I would suspect that fonts you refer to were installed as part of an IBM3270 Emulator installed on your user's PC. These fonts are usually just for screen display and probably are substituted when printed.

I also believe that they were installed "on the fly," so you will be unable to find them in any normal font file. That's why he "dosn't remember," it was magic. --Sam
