file open & file exit greyed out (Excel 2000)

Does anyone know why the file > open and file > exit option in excel 2000 would be greyed out? You have to open a file from explorer.

I tried running repair and excel /unregserver and excel /regserver but this did not resolve the problem.

    I guess your MS-Excel is broken. Sorry to say that, but your best best is to reinstall. <img src=/S/brickwall.gif border=0 alt=brickwall width=25 height=15> <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>
