I'm trying to create a flowchart in a Word 2K document. I thought that there were connector lines that attach to the flowchart symbols and stay attached even when the symbols are moved. Am I just dreaming or is that just in 2002? TIA --Sam

Never mind, I didn't dream it. It is in PowerPoint, but not in Word. So, I can draw the flowchart on a blank slide, select all, copy and paste it into Word. The connectors become lines that are no longer attached to the symbols when they are in Word, so I'll need to save both the presentation and the document in case I need to edit the chart. Hard to believe that PowerPoint does something better than Word. I thought that Bill took all of the bad features of Word and called it PowerPoint!

Sammy,
There is a KB article that has 2 workarounds for no connector in Word. One of them is use Powerpoint or Excel as you already found out
It is http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...KB;en-us;211921
