    MsoFileDialogType (Excel XP)

    I have built a simple reporting model (in Excel XP) that uses the FialDialog to prompt the user for the folder where the input files have been stored. I have used the constant msoFileDialogFolderPicker in my macro and everthing works as planned. I forwarded the model to a colleague who is using Office 2000 and she is unable to run the macro. The macro stops on the first line of the following section:

    With Application.FileDialog(msoFileDialogFolderPicker)
    .Show
    Source = .SelectedItems(1) & ""
    End With

    All that I can think is that this is not 'backwards compatible' with earlier versions of VBA or Excel.

    Any Ideas??

    Thanks

    Your intuition is correct. Office 2000 did not have the FileDialogs stuff. If you need a dialog to pick a folder, there are a couple of different strategies in older posts... try searching for browse for folder.
