    Prevent opening of windows

It drives me crazy when I go to a site and another little window (usually an ad) opens over my current window. How do I prevent this from happening?

    Re: Prevent opening of windows

The only way I know how to do it is to use a utility called POWi. This util is distributed through analogx, and can be found at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/pow.htm>www.analogx.com</A>
It's a simple click-list style blocker, which 'reads' the title bar for specified text, and closes the window which contains that text.

    Hope this helps!

    Drk.

    Try PopNot! from <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.hdsoft.com/popnot>http://www.hdsoft.com/popnot</A>

It automatically blocks all thoes annoying pop up ads. There is almost no configuring involved (some blockers require you to manually enter offending sites). If you set it to play a sound when it blocks a popup, you can right click to allow popups for the odd site that you wish to (Windows update is one that is identified as a popup).

    real easy to use.
