    Log On Problem

Running Win2000/SP3, I changed my logon username/company data using XTEQ. Now when I boot up I get a LOG ON TO WINDOWS window which uses the OLD username and I need to type in my NEW name to continuing booting....There is probably an easy solution to get the computer to boot with my new user name...but I haven't found it. Anyone can help me on this??? Thanks....

    Re: Log On Problem

Are you using any logon script?

The norm is for Windows to remember the last person to have logged on, not a fixed username. Perhaps setting the machine to clear the last username:
JSI Tip #0025 : Don't display Last user in logon dialogue.
then resetting it may clear its memory.

    Re: Log On Problem

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Xteq had a plug-in which disabled the remember last logon to windows function....it did stop the the logon windows windows using my old username. The old logon name certainly sticky...it still shows up as my personal directory in the Doc & Settings directory and other places off an on.....Thanks again for the help....
