I'm in the habit of tapping the F3 function key to Find files through Windows Explorer.

I would then click on the drop-down box to select a hard drive, or all hard drives.

Most commonly I expect the file to be on partition D:.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I can type the drive letter directly in the "Named" box; this is the default text entry position after tapping the F3 key.

I type "D:utils*.dot", without the quotes, and Explorer treats it as if I'd clicked on the drive D and THEN tabbed to the name box and typed "utils.dot".

A short but pleasant time-saver.
