    Conditional Formatting (Access 2000)

Does anyone know if you can do conditional formatting in a form. For example: If Form1 is open run Query1 or If Form2 is open run Query2...

    Thank you!!!

Sorry, but what does conditional formatting have to do with running queries? You're going to have to explain further what you're trying to do, because conditional formatting applies to the way fields *look* on a form, not to anything else the application may do.

OKAY.......Sorry about that....I am a little confused with this.....
Can you do something in Access that will allow the following to happen: If Form1 is open run Query1 or If Form2 is open run Query2...........
It does not seem that complicated, but I really do not know where I would put something like this. I think what he is trying to do is from a form have the above happen. That will get them to the correct form with the correct data....

    Re: Conditional Formatting (Access 2000)

I presume that the decision is being made from Form1 or Form2 at the time.
Under what condition are you trying to run the query? As a record source of the form? As an action query at some stage of the form (eg. OnOpen)? As a ControlSource of a ComboBox?
As Charlotte says you are going to have to explain more, we can only guess !!

    Re: Conditional Formatting (Access 2000)

If someone wants to open a form with particular records available, that isn't the same as running a query if a form is open. And the expression "run a query" usually implies an action query, that is an append or update or make-table query, not one that returns records. Please explain further so we can provide you with an appropriate answer.
