    No Task Pane (2002)

Although the task pane can be helpful, I would like to disable it. Rather than have the task pane open on New..., I would like the New Templates window to open. I've been successful in getting it to work in Excel 2000, but having difficulty in 2002. Is there a way to do this? <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16>

You'll have to create a macro and attach it to your file new button

The relevant line of code will be:
    Application.Dialogs(xlDialogWorkbookNew).Show

If you need more help with this, just ask.
