    Office 2000 SP-3 upgrade (SP-3)

I installed SP-3 and Word and Excel do show the 'SP-3' in the About box, but Outlook doesn't. How can I find out which version Outlook has? And if it is not SP-3 how can I get it to upgrade (running the SP-3 again just produces a 'The expected version of the product was not found on your system').

    Any ideas?

What's the build number in the Help|About... dialog? Here's the dialog after applying SP2:

There is msievent.log file in your WINDOWStemp (or WinNTTemp) directory. It is a text file. Open it in Notepad and look is any error messages there.

I couldn't find that file, but I went all the way and applied SR-1a again and then SR-3 and it seems to be installed now.

    Thanks a lot anyway

Yes, it appears that OL was missing SR-1, so it couldn't apply SP3. Some kind of dialog/alert would have been nice, eh?

Yes, and the funny thing is that Word and Excel showed SP-3 correctly.
