    Automate Data Entry? (2000)

Is it possible to automate data entry for a form or table? I have a contact list that includes a seperate table that lists events that each contact attends (its modeled off the Access contact template). I've sent out a letter that everyone in the database recieved and I would rather not have to manually enter an event for each person!

What exactly are you trying to do? You have to be explicit if you need help.

Ok, I'm new to both Access and the lounge...so... I created an database based on the Contact template from Access. It's for a non-profit which wants to track letters sent out to each member or events attended by each member. On the main contact form I've created a button which accesses another form to track events attended for each member. I've sent out a letter to every contact, and would like to find a way to automate the data entry for recording the fact that every contact attended this event (i.e. received a letter). Hope this is clearer!

I presume that you need to set a True/False field to True. If so just use an Update query to set this condition.
