    Time Gizmo (A97)

I am working on a database which reports the date and time of an incident. The date part is not a problem as I am using a pop up calendar which when you click a date on it populates the date field on the form.

What I would really like to put the icing on the cake is to find a nice little add in that looks like a clock or similar that when the user clicks on it the time of the incident is displayed ( they will be invariably set in the past). I need this as I don't trust the users to do free hand typing and would rather they did it "at a click of a mouse". If you can't assist with this add-in can anyone suggest a good way to put times in, I thought of having three combos, one for hours, one for minutes and the last for AM/PM but it is a clumsy solution I feel

If you have VB6 and/or Office Developer Edition, you have the Microsoft Date and Time Picker, an ActiveX control that can be used to pick a date or time. If you do, and decide to use it, you must create an installation package for your database, because not all Office users have this control.

    Thanks Hans

I have this on my system but was only aware that it was a date picker but now I have had deeper look and seen it can be used as a time picker too, this is just the job. For anybody out there who wants to change this ActiveX to a time picker change the format of the control to 2
