Meeting request: info copy? (Outlook 2000 SR-1)

I'd like to generate a meeting request and send an information copy (but not an invitation) to others (e.g., let a manager know about the meeting--who, when, where--without asking him to attend). Required/optional attendee doesn't do it. Thanks for any suggestions!

The native appointment and meeting request forms don't provide for that. You'd have to write a little code to gather up the info you need and send it out in the body of an email.

It's possible you could do something with the rules wizard, but I suspect it's too simple to meet your needs. For example, it could work if you wanted to act on every meeting request you send, but if not then the wiz would quickly be overwhelmed by the decision tree.
