    Explorer

I installed Windows Me on top of Win95 and have been told that the error message: Explorer has caused an error in (unknown) etc etc is the result; should have been installed ONLY on top of Win 98. I receive this message many times every day, it drives me nuts and would like to fix it.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks

Is this copy of Me a "Step up" or a "Up grade" copy?

I am sorry I don't know, somebody installed Windows Me on my machine for me, but I believe it was the full version!

Look at you CD that came with ME and it should tell you which copy was installed.

My vendor tells me that it was a RTM version (4.90.3000).

Did your VENDOR give you a CD or is ther a MS Windows sticker on the side of your computer with a number and bar code on it?

I have both a CD and a sticker with a bar code containing three sets of numbers: The Product Key numbers, what appears to be the bar code numbers and another set of numbers on this Certificate of Authenticity
