    What is supported?

    <img src=/S/hello.gif border=0 alt=hello width=25 height=29> Loungers

I heard that Microsoft will remove Windows NT from its supported products by the new year.

Does that mean the all MS is going to support are 98, ME, 2000, XP?

    Thanks for any advice.

I believe EOL (end of life) for NT 4.0 is December 31, 2003. I think there will be limited support after December 31, 2002.

For everything you wanted to know about the Life Cycle of Microsoft's software, have a look at their Windows Desktop Product Life Cycle Support and Availability Policies for Businesses page.

According to this NT4.0 will be entering the Non-Supported Phase on June 30, 2003 and hit the End Of Life on June 30, 2004.

According to the web site Bryan provided, your information is correct, thus I need to design a migration policy for my non-profit school to start thinking of budgeting, money and time to make this migration happen with the least amount of hassle.

    Thanks again

This is a useful document to keep and take with when you are talking to people who need to manage the bottom line.
