    'Expression is typed incorrectly...' (2002)

I have a report which gives the following message on any attempt to run:
"This expression is typed incorrectly or it is too complex to be evaluated....."

I've narrowed it down to a memo field called "description".

I can't figure out what the problem is. I can create a report with the wizard and this field will print just fine. If I run the query behind the report it runs just fine. If I delete the field the report runs fine, but if the field is there I get the message. I don't have it combined with anything, I'm just running a pretty basic report and printing the contents.
Has anyone else suffered this same problem?
Can someone give me some insight on why and what to do?

I'll be happy to provide more information as requested.
    Thanks for your help

I am guessing, but I wonder if the problem is caused by the field name "description", as a quite a few things have a description property. Try changing the field name.

Another possibility - is your data source for the report stored as a SQL string, or is it actually a stored query? If it's the former, you have a much smaller limit on the SQL string than you do for a stored query.

I remember reading somewhere that error messages referring to a field called 'description' are a sign of corruption within your database. Just a thought. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
