Return CD drive letter
In Word 2000/97, an Install template is run from the user's CD-ROM drive. A copy of the template runs. One function is to open other files from the CD. Query: is there a fool-proof way of telling VBA the drive letter of the CD from which the template/copy is running? I get different results depending on whether Word is running or not running. If Word is not running, and you click on the template in the Explorer, commands: Documents.Open "FileName" and/or Documents.Open "FileName" will open the desired file. The CD path is used. But if Word was running first, Word doesn't open the file. The Path is set on a hard drive path, even though Word just ran a CD drive template. Suggestions?
