Linking Tasks on a network (Outlook 2000)

Is there a way to link the tasks of several different people if you are running in a network environment?

Yes there is a way to link in a hierarchical way. I also assume you could share using public folders on Exchange but have never tried it.

The method is to 'delegate' tasks to others. What this does is mail them a copy of the task which they can accept. After acceptance they can update their own copy. When they do, you get your copy of it updated via an appropriate message. They in turn can sub-delegate tasks, and the chain of updates comes back as well.

Outlook can be linked with MS Project too. But I'd bet that's way over kill. Andrew's method works pretty well.
