    Cannot Create Task (Outlook 2000)

When I try to create a task, I get the following message: Could not complete the operation. One or more Parameter values are not valid.
I can copy all my tasks into a brand new task list and create tasks for a day or so, then I start to get this message again!

    Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you might have a corrupt task form. Try this:
    1) Do a File, Exit in Outlook
    2) Do a search of your hard drive for frmcache.dat. (It might be in c:windowslocal settingsaplication datamicrosoftforms)
    3) Rename frmcache.
    4) Restart outlook and it will create a new set of default forms for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks for your advice. I searched for the file and could not find it.

Perhaps I should have mentioned I am using Windows 2000?

I believe you have to have the file, even if you are in Internet Only mode (it's possible I'm wrong about that). Maybe there was a typo in your search string? It should be FRMCACHE.DAT

A common reason for not finding this sort of file is because you did not search inside hidden folders.
Try setting Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View > Show hidden files and folders
