    Installing Windows 2000

I am currently running Windows 98SE and want to install Windows 2000 Professional on the system. From all my reading the suggestions seem to say to format the HD for a clean install. Just seeking other suggestions prior to making the leap.

Well, if all you want on your system is 2k, then, yes, I agree with format and start over OR you can use partition manager and make a D: drive and dual boot the system so you can use both 98 and 2k. (as long as you have a decent size drive) During the install, if you have 98 loaded, it will ask to upgrade or dual boot (in so many words)

Thanks--Prefer to run 2000 alone. Any sites to recommend to check for computer/hardware conflicts?
