    Formula (Excel 2K)

    I have a cell (C14) which uses dates in cells C10, C11, C12 and C13 to make a calculation like this:
    =IF(C13="Short-rate",((C11-C12) / (C11-C10))*1.1,(C11-C12) / (C11-C10))
    Since the user types the info for C10, C11, and C12 as he/she goes along, the value of C14 changes from #DIV/0 to some irrelevant number. I've been able to avoid the #DIV/0 error by inserting a default date in C10. However, what I would really like to have is a blank C14 or a C14 with a .000 value until the user has entered the dates required in C10, C11, and C12. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your assistance!!

    Just add another IF:
    <pre>=IF(C10*C11*C12<>0,IF(C13="Short-rate",((C11-C12)/(C11-C10))*1.1,(C11-C12)/(C11-C10)),"")</pre>
