Presenter View and Linked Slide Shows (XP)

I build 8 hour training programs in PPT. We have dual monitor capabilities but when I link to another slide show in PPT, the presenter view remains on the "Home" presentation. Is there a work-around? I would love to give my trainers the ability to see what is next in the presentation.

What process are you using to link to the next slide show? (I presume these are in PPT format and not WEB based.)

Thanks for the reply! The process is as follows:
I make a button, then I use "Action Settings - Hyperlink To - Other PPT Presentation - Slide Num" The files are in PPT XP format not HTML. The linked PPT file opens in show mode on the projector (monitor 2) but the presenter view does not change on my laptop.

I'm still using Office 2000 and have never tried Presenter View (if 2000 has that), but I wonder... as a workaround, can you use Alt+Tab to switch to the launched presentation (after you launch it and it doesn't come to the front) and, if so, is it in the correct view?

Nope, I just tried it. The linked PPT is there as a "Screenshow" but Presenter view is inactive.

Sort of.... If I scroll down to the last thumbnail, the correct slide displays in presenter view. However, the controls are inactive and the notes from the slide I linked from remain on the screen. I fI move the mouse pointer to monitor 2, I can click through the slides and they change in monitor 1 after a 4 second delay.

This is still not too useful. I want the presenter to see what is coming so they don't step on the upcoming slides. I insert questions that are answered using wireless keypads and the instrictor needs to know where they are.

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by WendellB on 27-Dec-02 18:06. Activate link)</P>You might want to check the dual monitor info that Paul I wrote at http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00231.htm
Not sure, but his addin, PPCWin, might resolve the issue for you as well.
