    Output to XL (2000 SP-3)

    Folks,
I am using MS Office 2000 SP-3 Professional and Windows XP (Home).
I have created an Access macro to output the results of a query to Excel. I have not been able to get the macro to consistently work correctly. I have used virtually identical macros successfully in the past. The macro is:

    Output Format: Microsoft Excel (*.xls)
Output File: Cocuments and SettingsBill.HOME-CSD986HCYJMy DocumentsMy AccessApollo Safety Data.xls

Can you make this work reliably if you do the export manually? To do that highlight the query and choose the export command. The reason I ask is because it is possible that you have some data that causes problems when Access tries to export it to Excel. Another possibility is that your database has corrupted and needs to be compacted and repaired. It is also possible that the recently released SP3 of Office is causing you grief, but I would explore other possibilities first.

    Wendall,

Thanks for the reply and advice.

Manually running the query and then using File/Export is my present workaround scheme and it works perfectly. The only difference in parameters is the fact that I can specify the File type as
