Talking to myself

Is there an option to automatically receive all replies to postings I make, but not receive replies I make myself?

I don't think so, Howard. You will just have to put up with yourself.

Long ago, there was a time when men cursed and beat on the ground with sticks. It was called witchcraft.
Today it is called golf!

That doesn't do the deed.
I want to get notification of replies, but not of my own replies.

Howard,

Some people believe that talking to oneself is not a healthy pastime!
Do you really reply to your own posts that often?

Working at home alone, Me, Myself and I talk to each other often.
Of course, we frequently bicker, tho usually end up with unanimous agreement on most issues.

Re: Talking to myself

1] Go back to your original post, toggle the notification.
2] Make your reply.
3] Repeat step 1.

Or just put a filter in your mail client to trash yourself. (You know what I mean )

I don't use this feature, but you are only supposed to get notifications of replies to your own posts. When you reply to someone else's post in the same thread, or if someone else replies to someone else's post in the same thread, you should receive nothing. Although some have asked to receive those, too, it's simpler to watch a thread onsite than to try to reconstruct it from your mailbox, in my opinion, based on other mailing lists.

Re: Talking to myself

I don't ask for replies to read them off site, rather just to automatically notify me that someone has replied.

This mechanism works well in other forums I use.

"This mechanism works well in other forums I use."
But are they using the same software as this site? If NOT, you have your answer.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
