    You can use the FileSystem object (part of the Scripting Library) to read and write text files. Jefferson Scher has posted an example in <post#=202750>post 202750</post#>.

    If you can't use this (in some environments, Windows Scripting is not available), you can also use the "old-fashioned" Basic statements for opening a file. In the online help for Access 97, look up the Open and Close instructions (not methods!), as well as the Input function and the Print and Write instructions.
