Prevent Deletion from Server (Outlook 2002 (XP))

    Hi,

For my personal e-mail, I use an online service (you check e-mail by going to a website and loggin on). Just recently set up my Outlook 2002 (XP) on my home desktop to access the account. The messages arrived properly, however they were deleted from the server. I want to use the Outlook for archiving, not for the primary e-mail reading mechanism - I want the messages to remain on the server so I can refer to them easily when I am on the road.

How do I set the Send/Receive operation to download-only, versus download-and-delete? Thanks in advance!

    JIM

    Thanks Dave,

It's amazing how many times you can look at the same thing and not notice it...

Go to "Tools Options" with in Outlook, select Email account, view the account that you want to change, select the "More Settings" and then the "Advance Tab." Add a check mark to "Leave copy....Server".

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
