The Current Universal Time (GMT)is displayed and you are allowed to:
Choose your time offset in hours (...,-2,-1,0,1,2,...). Add or deduct to display your local time

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Further to what Dave has said, as you are in England you need do nothing until the clocks go forward in the Spring, when you should add +1 in your profile.
As someone once said, Time is relative. The offset you put in is added to the time of all posts when displayed so you can see - in your own time zone around the world - when a post was made.

OK - it's obvious enough what it means now you two say so. Thanks. But it didn't seem to say anything in the Help screen that explains the other Profile entries.

    Re: Time offset?

Fair comment - it doesn't seem as clear an explanation as it could be.
Let me see what can be done!

    Re: Time offset?

Good point Ian, I've changed the message in the help system accordingly.

Thanks. Where I had looked and not seen a mention of it was screen 14 of the Help which lists the things you see when viewing user information, but doesn't mention Time Offset, although in fact that is one of the things you see.

    Re: Time offset?

Yes, that would have been handy for my reply. I tried to implement it yesterday, but, all I managed to achieve is to break the lounge. I'll work on it later on...
    Cheers, Claude.
