What control is this? (Word 2002)

    Hi,

Apologies if I covered this in my other post, but I have attached an image which contains some sort of graphic control that dynamically updates according to user actions.

Does anybody know what control this is, or how it can be replicated?

    Thanks, Chris

Which one? The top one could easily be a textbox control. The preview pane could
be a textbox too or maybe a listbox.

Is it the Word dialog that you're describing as containing some sort of graphic control? Dialogs built into Windows and Office apps can be manipulated with code calls or API calls, but the pieces of them are part of the whole, not just something stuck onto a form.

It is the preview graphic control that I need to somehow replicate.

Take a look at the native preview window in word:

Format | Bullets and Numbering | Outline Numbered | Customize

Do you see how when the user changes the Number Format, Number Style properties etc. the Preview graphic dynamically updates? Basically what I am trying to do is implement the same functionality into a custom User Form, so that when a user makes similar adjustments to custom properties on the form, the graphic preview window will update.

I hope this makes sense! Any ideas?

My guess, and that's all it is, is that the Preview control is some sort of RTF control, with a whole whach of code to do the dynamic updateing.

Be aware though, that if you include the RTF control on a UserForm, you will need a license to distribute the control.
