Status bar in userform (Office 2000)

I'm wondering if there's a way incorporate a statusbar in a userform. I can't find any controls in the Toolbox, or any reference to same. I do seem to recall some reference to API routines related to this, as well as reference (somewhere???) to "panels". I guess it would be possible to fake one with some labels or read only text boxes, but if there's an alternative/ easier way?

    thanks

    Alan,

If you Office Developer, you should be able to add the Microsoft Status Bar Control to the Toolbox to get the ability to add a status bar to the userform. The status bar is part of the mscomctl.ocx (for V6.0) or comctl32.ocx (for V5.0)

Otherwise you are out of luck, unless you get a 3rd party status bar.

Thanks Bryan. Although I don't have a Developer edition at home, there is one at work, which is where this might be done anyway. I also learned a lot about that li'l ol' toolbox whilst chasing it down. Learning all the time... <img src=/S/read.gif border=0 alt=read width=19 height=33>

    cheers
