    How can you attach an excel spreadsheet to a task in MS Project

    Well, you could take a look at <post#=213655>post 213655</post#>. Alternately it is possible to use the Insert, Object menu, select Create from file and hunt your file down.
    In the task list view, this will insert a snippet of the Excel file which you can resize and move around (watch out, there isn't anything that will link it directly with your task). You can even link the file if you wish - simply fill out the check box.
    This method doesn't really turn my crank - I don't think you get to see enough of the excel file to be useful, and it fights with the other items in your Gantt chart. I perfer hyperlinking <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>.

    Another option would be to take a screen shot of the excel screen or use other software to create a bitmap image and use the insert object technique to insert it.
