Tasks

OK, I have this project that started in February. I started working on it then got interrupted and couldn't finish it. I would expect MS Project would move the remaining work to be done to at least start today instead of leaving it where it was. Is MS Project not smart enough to do that??? I could not see any constraints that would have caused this, in fact all constraints are finish as soon as possible. Well since it isn't finished yet and I have remaining hours I would expect MS Project to reschedule the work still remaining. Maybe I expect too much?
Thanks in advance for any help on this!

Re: Tasks

I don't think Project will do as you want, unless you tell it to. Assuming you've entered details of work done on each task, try Tools/Tracking/Update Project. The lower option in the dialog box which appears allows you specify a date (and time) for uncompleted work to start.

(If this isn't working for you, try Tools/Options and on the Schedule tab, check that "Split in-progress tasks" is ticked)

Hope this is helpful
