IE security on OL Today page. (OL2K sr 1)

I have a web page that we use as the Outlook Today page for our enterprise (based on an old version of Digidash). On the page, I have two links to pages on our intranet that are programmed to open in a new browser window (using the target=_blank attribute on the tag). The links work fine if I click them when the page is a folder home page for, say, a public folder. However, when the page is the home page for Outlook Today, the links do not launch a new window and instead open the intranet page within the Outlook window. That is not acceptable here for a variety of reasons.

I think it might be a security setting, but I don't know which one. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

For reference, I've found an answer. The link needs to be in this format:

--the target=_blank attribute doesn't work because of the increased security on the OL Today page.
