    Page error (IE v6.0)

I occasionaly get a notification of a page error at the bottom of the screen (in the area that shows the url or whatever) When the message shows up, the page I am trying to go to doesn't show up. Any help? I'm using XP SP1

What is the page error you're seeing? Does this happen on the same sites consistently or is it random?

There is no indication as to what the error is, it just say "page error" and will not load the page. It can happen anywhere, any time. No consistency.

Most the time I've observed this I've just reloaded the page and it has disappeared. I believe it has been a Java applet or script that has not loaded correctly. Are you up-to-date on MS patches?

As far as I know, I've kept up with Windows XP updates. Is there others that I may need?

Like Joe said, it is more than likely a Java applet or script that has not loaded correctly. The page error notice as indicated below can show up and sometimes prevent pages or parts of pages if you have your Microsoft VM Java permissions set higher than medium or you have scripting of Java applets disabled.

Possibly. Open a command window and then type JVIEW. What version of the Java VM are you using?
