    Screen Shot

How do I download a screen shot under 100K? Or how do I make my screen shot no bigger then 100K? All my screen shots are bigger files then that, and everytime I push post with my attachment it takes me to a window saying thier is some kind of problem? <img src=/S/aflame.gif border=0 alt=aflame width=16 height=16> I hope I posted this in the right forum.

If possible, cut down the size of the screen that you're trying to clip. If it's simply an error box, use the ALT+PRINT SCREEN key combo. If it's a portion, of a number of windows, group the windows as close together as possible, Print Screen, and then using a graphics program, such as Paint, cut the image down to a section of the screen.

    I hope this helps...

In addition to Chris' advice, use GIF or JPG formats which are by nature compressed, and if you need to reduce the size further most picture editors provide for reducing the size and color density of the graphic.

    DawG ~

I recommend using IrfanView for resizing/sampling alone. It is <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15> and highly recommended by many users both within the Lounge as well as other respectable sites. Also, I have created a simple tutorial for this feature alone that I would be happy to share with you or any other Lounger just for the asking. <IMG SRC=http://www.krymow.com/images/yinyang.gif>

Also, I have found that saving a file as .png rather than .jpg when using a direct paste & save in Microsoft Photo Editor results in a much smaller image file.
