XP SP1 or Not (Office XP SP1)

I updated to OfficeXP SP1 a couple of months ago. When I go into "About Word" for example, I see that I am at SP-1. Same of Outlook, Excel, etc. Yesterday, I checked the Office Update site. It listed SP-1 as one of the updates that I needed. Is there a replacement SP-1 for SP-1 or is this just another attempt by Microsoft to drive me slowly insane?

DId you click on "show installed"? If not, you'll see the available updates even if you've already installed them.

Ah, if only it could be that simple -- but no, SP1 is not on my installed list, yet all my applications are currently at SP1. Any harm in installing SP1 on top of SP1?

There shouldn't be any harm, but it may simply refuse to install.

I have just installed MS Publisher 2002 and I had to reinstall SP1 and SP2 for Office XP. You will find that if you install or reinstall a component of Office it will over write some of the DLL's. No harm was done and everything is running just like it should.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
